T. Rowe Price Large Cap Growth Individual Investment Option
Strategy: In taking a growth approach to investment selection, the Fund will normally invest at least 80% of its net assets in the common stocks of large-cap companies. The Fund defines a large-cap company as one whose market cap is larger than the median market cap of companies in the Russell 1000 Growth Index, a widely used benchmark of the largest domestic growth stocks.
Risk: As with all equity funds, this Fund's share price can fall because of weakness in the broad market, a particular industry, or specific holdings. The investment approach reflects the belief that when a company increases its earnings faster than both inflation and the overall economy, the market will eventually reward it with a higher stock price.
The Fund is nondiversified, and has the ability to invest a larger percentage of its assets in the securities of a smaller number of issuers than a diversified fund. As a result, poor performance by a single issuer could adversely affect Fund performance more than if the Fund were invested in a larger number of issuers.
